Watch as electricity passes through this piece to create a one of a kind design.
First discovered by German physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg and applied in 1777, the Lichtenberg Technique was used to reveal the nature of positive and negative electric currents, which has also inspired the creation of wood burning art.
Only within the last couple of decades have woodworking artists been marrying the Lichtenberg Technique with wood. This method, inspired by the works of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, can be highly dangerous; however, a handful of artists have discovered ways to control the madness to add a unique accent to their wood burning art pieces where appropriate.
